Blocks, blocks, blocks

Hi Fellow teachers,
Today I decided to make sight word blocks and alphabet matching capitals to lowercase letters. I saw these cute things on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. I found the blocks on Amazon for 12.99 for 80 pieces. I thought it was a good deal. They had some at Goodwill but they ended up being pricier. What sight word centers do you like to us? Please share.

Hi everyone!
In June I was able to attend the WBT( Whole Brain Teaching) training in Las Vegas. It was a wonderful hands-on experience and I would highly recommend attending it. I love the idea of using these classroom tools to make my classroom a better place. I love the idea of the using a Super Improvers Wall for goal setting with the students. You can set a class goal in the beginning and the students work to level up. This board is useful all year long and it will help motivate certain students who need a goal, either for behavior or academics. I have created some items to go along with this wall. Check them out by clicking below!

Also check out the WBT website for great ideas and videos. http://wholebrainteaching.com/
The best part is that everything they give you is FREE!

Enjoying summer,
Brittany

Hi fellow teachers!
Today I wanted to share my morning meeting with you. I love having a routine in my classroom and I find that sometimes the morning can get a little stale. I started using this a few years ago and I love it. You can add to it and take away things that aren't needed depending on your class. As we all know, every class is different. In this morning meeting you can take attendance, while the students do the math. It's an easy transition from the desks to the carpet area. I love to take time to sing a song, greet each other, and share a book. I find this helps to really build community and set the day up! It includes building words, sight words, phonemic awareness, and keeps your morning routine flowing and structured to keep you and the students on task. Check it out below and share your morning routine!
Keep smiling!
Brittany
